Pelikan Souverän M800 Black-Green Fountain Pen

The Pelikan Souverän M800 is the iconic heart of the Souverän range: a large, beautifully proportioned fountain pen that has earned its place as one of the most coveted writing instruments in the world. Its 18K/750 gold nib with rhodium décor delivers a supremely smooth, confident and characterful writing experience that enthusiasts and collectors treasure.

Together with the M1000, the M800 offers one of the largest ink capacities of any piston-filling pen currently on the market, making it as practical for daily writing as it is prestigious to own. Its differential piston mechanism, building on the piston filler Pelikan first patented in 1929, fills quickly and directly from any bottled ink.

The black-green striped barrel is made from a cellulose acetate formula developed especially for Pelikan. Each striped block takes months to finish before it is shaped and cut using a natural diamond, so every pen shows its own individual pinstripe pattern. The famous beak-shaped clip and the 24K gold-plated rings are polished to a brilliant finish, and every pen is hand-tested for writing quality before it leaves Germany.
